El Hadji Madické Kane, the midfielder for Ittihad Tangier in the Moroccan Botola Pro championship, provided insights into the challenges and aspirations of his team as they navigate a demanding season.
Currently positioned at 15th place in the league standings with 15 points, Ittihad Tangier faces a crucial period in the Botola Pro, striving to avoid relegation.
Madické Kane, in his debut season with the Moroccan club, acknowledged the rigorous nature of the championship, emphasizing its high level.
“The level of our championship is very high, and many Senegalese players compete here. In any case, we enjoy it,” expressed Kane during an interview with Wiwsport.
Despite the team’s challenging start to the season, he remains optimistic about the prospects for improvement in the second half.
“The beginning of the season was very difficult for us because some players were not qualified, disrupting our plans.
Our sole objective is to climb the rankings in the second round,” stated Kane, attributing part of the team’s struggles to the absence of key players.
Undeterred by the current difficulties, Madické Kane maintains ambitious personal goals. “My objectives are always the same – to aim upwards.
I continue to work and deliver strong performances, with the hope of attracting other offers by the end of the season, InshaAllah.”
Reflecting on his previous experiences in the Portuguese regional championship, Kane discussed his initial plan to spend one season with the Rio Maior team before encountering the dynamic nature of the league.
Despite the challenges, he persevered and transitioned to another club, Pombal, completing the entire return phase of the championship before making the move to Morocco last summer.
