Marcel Koeller, the head coach of Al-Ahly’s first football team, has intensified his sessions with Mustafa Shubair, the team’s goalkeeper, to motivate him to perform well during the upcoming match against Blouzadad on Friday evening in the fourth round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
According to a source within Al-Ahly, Koeller is keen on boosting the morale of the goalkeeper, who is expected to be part of the lineup for the match, to prepare him psychologically for the encounter.
The source also noted Koeller’s confidence in Shubair’s ability to fill in for Mohamed El-Shenawy, especially given his previous experience in playing tough matches with the team.
The source confirmed that Koeller might field a lineup consisting of:
Goalkeeper: Mustafa Shubair.
Defense: Ali Maaloul – Mohamed Abdel-Moneim – Yasser Ibrahim – Mohamed Hani.
