The Moroccan national team has risen to 12th place in the latest rankings released today by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), advancing one spot from the last ranking issued in December of last year.

Despite their elimination from the African Cup of Nations at the round of sixteen stage, the Moroccan team added one point to their tally, reaching a total of 1663 points.

This improvement has seen them surpass the American team, enhancing their ranking among the giants of world football.

“Atlas Lions” have maintained their top position in the rankings among African and Arab teams. Senegal retains its second position in Africa (17th globally), followed by Nigeria in third place (28th globally), and Egypt in fourth place (36th globally).

Meanwhile, the Ivorian team ranks fifth in Africa and 39th globally.

At the top of the FIFA rankings sits the Argentine national team, the reigning world champions, with 1855 points.

They are followed by France, with England and Belgium occupying the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Brazil rounds out the top five in the rankings.

The Moroccan team’s ascent in the rankings reflects their consistent performance and solid presence on the international football stage.

Despite their recent setback in the African Cup of Nations, they have demonstrated their resilience and competitiveness, earning recognition as one of the formidable teams in world football.

Football enthusiasts and analysts will be eagerly watching to see how the Moroccan team continues to evolve and compete on the global stage, as they strive to achieve further success and maintain their strong position in the FIFA rankings.
