The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) refuted the circulating statements attributed to FAF President, Walid Sadie, regarding promises regarding the new coach for the national team, the Greens.
The FAF stated that the attributed statements are “baseless rumors” and assured that they will be subject to “legal action.”
The Algerian Football Federation emphasized that statements made by Walid Sadie should be communicated through the official channels affiliated with the football authority.
This comes amidst speculation and anticipation regarding the successor of the current coach, Djamel Belmadi, who has been at the helm of the Algerian national team since August 2018.
Under Belmadi’s leadership, Algeria achieved significant successes, including winning the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
