Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United name starting XIs for Carling Knockout quarter-final

Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United have confirmed their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final at Orlando Amstel Arena.

The match will be the fourth meeting between the sides this season, after they faced one another twice in the MTN8 and once in the Betway Premiership.

Orlando Pirates have won all three of those previous encounters. The Buccaneers beat Sekhukhune United twice at home at Orlando Amstel Arena and also secured a victory away at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Sekhukhune United will be aiming to respond after suffering a disappointing Betway Premiership defeat by Milford United last weekend.

Pirates arrive in stronger form, having won their past five matches in all competitions.

Pirates’ starting XI is Chaine, Lungu, Seema, Zulu, Hotto, Selepe, Mokobodi, Masilela, Padime, Moremi and Mbuthuma.

Their substitutes are Dladla, Kgositsile, Derbyshire, Luthuli, Mthiyane, Mmolai, Rapoo, Appollis and Sigomoshe.

Sekhukhune United will start with Sapunga, Matsimbi, O’Neill, Mcaba, Rammala, Mkhize, Khupe, Mokoena, Muzeu, Ndlovu and Ohizu.

The Sekhukhune United substitutes are Buthelezi, Mobbie, Kazeem, Cardoso, Sangweni, Mojela, Makubo, Phiri and Nkwana.
