Le Havre AC target Shelbourne striker Mipo Odubeko for winter transfer window

Le Havre AC are exploring a move for Shelbourne forward Mipo Odubeko as they begin planning for the winter transfer window.

The Normandy club are assessing several options to strengthen their attack and, according to Foot Mercato, have identified the 24-year-old as a potential target. Odubeko’s contract with Shelbourne expires on 30 November, meaning he could be available to join another club without a transfer fee this winter.

An Irish international of Nigerian origin, Odubeko has developed through the academies of both Manchester City and Manchester United. His background and current contract situation make him an attractive option for Le Havre AC, who are looking for additional attacking strength.

Odubeko joined Shelbourne in January 2025 and has since made 66 appearances for the Irish club. During that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided six assists.

He also made his debut in European competition last season, contributing three goals and two assists. A powerful and quick striker, Odubeko is regarded as possessing the qualities required to add a goalscoring threat to a team’s attack.

His Irish passport could further increase his appeal to Le Havre AC. Under the rules in France, he would not be classed as a non-EU player, which would avoid the restrictions associated with signing an extra-community player.

Odubeko, a former West Ham player, is valued at €150,000 by Transfermarkt. However, with his Shelbourne contract due to expire on 30 November, Le Havre AC could potentially secure his services without paying a transfer fee.

Le Havre AC’s next fixture is against FC Lorient in the 10th round of the French championship. 1xbet has priced a Le Havre AC victory at 2.65, a draw at 3.10 and an FC Lorient win at 2.25.
