Egypt Insurance captain reveals reason for Imam Ashour-style celebration against Zamalek

Egypt Insurance captain Hesham Yehia has explained why he celebrated his goal against Zamalek in the same style as الاهلي player Imam Ashour.

Yehia scored Egypt Insurance’s second goal during their Egyptian Cup round-of-32 match against Zamalek.

“My celebration after scoring against Zamalek was in the style of Imam Ashour because my sister’s son likes him very much. Thankfully, I was able to make him happy,” Yehia told FilGoal.com.

Yehia also said he was surprised by comments made by Zamalek’s players during the match, which ended in a dramatic victory for the top-flight side.

“I was surprised that Zamalek’s players said to each other that they would lose if they continued in that way while we were leading 1-0,” he added.

Zamalek secured a place in the last 16 of the Egyptian Cup after overcoming Egypt Insurance, who play in the second division.

They will face Eastern Company Enppi in the next round. Eastern Company Enppi advanced after beating Proxy by the same score.
