Richards Bay set to reappoint former coach Pitso Dladla

Richards Bay FC are expected to bring back Pitso Dladla as uncertainty grows over the position of current manager Dimitar Nikolaev Pantev.

The Natal Rich Boyz have made a poor start to their Betway Premiership campaign and are bottom of the table with three points from their opening nine matches.

The club dismissed Ronnie Gabriel after he oversaw three draws and three defeats. His replacement, Pantev, has collected only one point since taking charge, leaving Richards Bay still waiting for their first league win of the season.

They have also been knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup at the first hurdle.

Sources indicate that Dladla is in line to return to the Richards Bay dugout. He is currently without a club after leaving Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Dladla previously enjoyed a brief spell with Arrows before guiding Durban City to silverware as interim coach last season, when he led them to victory in the Nedbank Cup.

A return for Dladla would therefore see Richards Bay turn to a coach familiar with the club as they attempt to revive a difficult campaign.
