Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has included Hamza Abdel Karim in his attacking options for Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Aston Villa, while five players miss out through injury.
Barcelona face Aston Villa in the fourth round of the competition’s first stage on 03 November 2026. Dani Olmo, Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen and Xavi Espart are all absent from Flick’s selection.
The inclusion of Hamza Abdel Karim comes after reports indicated that he was expected to play for the youth side against Aston Villa in the UEFA Youth League on the same day.
Flick’s full Barcelona squad is:
Goalkeepers: Juan Garcia, Szczesny, Livakovic.
Defenders: Joao Cancelo, Balde, Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, Alex Campos, Guillem.
Midfielders: Brian Farinas, Gavi, Fermin, Pedri, Rodri, Frenkie de Jong, Bernal, Orian Goren.
Forwards: Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Adeyemi, Gordon, Hamza Abdel Karim.
