Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring Brentford left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf and have reportedly contacted his representatives to express their interest in the Senegal international.
According to DSPORTS, both clubs are considering whether to make a move for the 21-year-old during the next summer transfer window.
Diouf only joined Brentford in the last summer transfer window but has already attracted attention from some of England’s leading clubs. His athleticism, energy on the left flank and ability to contribute in attack have helped strengthen his reputation in the Premier League.
The defender is under contract with Brentford until 30 June 2031, with the club holding an option to extend the agreement by a further year. That long-term deal means Brentford are in a strong position and would be unlikely to consider allowing Diouf to leave in the coming months.
Chelsea and Liverpool would therefore need to make a convincing offer if they are to prise him away from the Bees. Diouf’s market value is estimated at 35m euros by Transfermarkt.
He has made nine appearances in all competitions this season, playing a total of 323 minutes.
Brentford are preparing to face Brighton in their 10th league match of the season. The available betting odds list Brentford at 3.50 to win, with a draw priced at 3.60 and a Brighton victory at 1.72.
