The Signal Iduna Park will host a first competitive meeting between Borussia Dortmund and Real Betis on Wednesday 04 November 2026, with both sides carrying strong European records into the 4th round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Kick-off is scheduled for 20 h 00 GMT in Dortmund. The match will be shown in France on Canal+ Foot and myCANAL; in sub-Saharan Africa on SuperSport Premier League and New World Sport; in Belgium on DAZN and Proximus Pickx; in Switzerland on Blue Sport; in the Netherlands on Ziggo Sport; in Spain on Movistar Liga de Campeones; in the United States on Paramount+ and beIN XTRA; and in North Africa on beIN Sports. DAZN will broadcast the fixture in Germany, Italy, Portugal and Austria.
The clubs have never previously met in an official competition. Dortmund, however, have established a strong recent record against Spanish opponents, winning their past four matches against teams from La Liga.
Betis have endured a more difficult run against German clubs during the 21st century. Their record in those encounters stands at two draws and two defeats.
Strong domestic form for both teams
Borussia Dortmund are at the top of the Bundesliga, level on points with Bayern Munich. They have gone five matches without defeat, recording three wins and two draws since their only European setback against Bodø/Glimt.
Their home record in the Champions League is also a significant strength. Dortmund have lost only twice in their past 24 home matches in the competition, underlining the scale of the challenge facing the Andalusian side at the Signal Iduna Park.
Real Betis arrive in similarly impressive form. They moved firmly into the top four of La Liga after recording another victory last weekend, while their performances across all competitions have remained consistent.
The Spanish side have suffered just one defeat in all competitions since September and have won all three of their Champions League matches so far. That perfect continental record makes this an especially demanding test for Dortmund despite the German club’s home advantage.
Dortmund given narrow edge
There is little to separate the teams on current form, with Betis having demonstrated considerable defensive stability throughout the season. Dortmund’s record at the Signal Iduna Park and their attacking efficiency in front of their home supporters nevertheless give them a slight advantage.
The prediction is a 2-1 Borussia Dortmund victory.
The published betting odds list Dortmund at 1.70 to win, with the draw priced at 4.20 and a Real Betis victory at 4.33.
