Milan eye January opportunity for Real Madrid forward Endrick

Milan are monitoring Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid and could make another attempt to sign the Brazil forward during the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian club believe the 19-year-old needs regular football to demonstrate his ability and could offer him the playing time he has been unable to secure in the Spanish capital. Milan tried to reach an agreement for Endrick during the summer, but Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho blocked the move and refused to sanction his departure.

Endrick has made only five appearances for Real Madrid this season, totalling 111 minutes, and has started just one match, according to the club’s official statistics.

His opportunities were particularly restricted during the opening weeks of the campaign. He played only a few minutes against Elche before being given more time in the Champions League against Roma.

Endrick spent 37 minutes on the pitch in that match, scoring once and creating another goal in a dramatic 4-3 victory. His performance earned him the player of the match award.

However, that display did not lead to a sustained run in the team. Endrick has continued to feature in short spells, raising questions about whether he can develop fully without greater consistency.

Mourinho insists forward will stay

Mourinho has publicly expressed his desire to keep Endrick at Real Madrid and warned interested clubs that they would have to wait if they wanted to sign him.

“Endrick is a player I like very much and he has enormous potential,” Mourinho said. “I do not believe he needs to leave on loan.”

The Portuguese manager has also acknowledged that he has not been able to give the forward as many opportunities as he would have liked. Mourinho said a muscle injury kept Endrick out for more than a month, while the timing of matches after his recovery made it difficult for him to return to regular action.

Calciomercato reports that Milan currently lead the clubs interested in Endrick ahead of January. Milan owner Gerry Cardinale remains committed to the deal and hopes the club’s relationship with the player’s agency, Roc Nation, can help negotiations with Real Madrid.

The task is complicated by interest from Roma, Aston Villa and Arsenal, who are also reported to be considering a move for the Brazil international.

A switch to Milan could give Endrick the opportunity to regain a more prominent role and collect the minutes required to continue his development. His future will ultimately depend on Real Madrid’s position and whether the player decides he wants to pursue a greater role elsewhere.

The fixture listings accompanying the report include AEK Athens v Real Madrid in the Champions League on 04 November 2026, and Real Madrid v Milan in the Europa League on 05 November 2026, alongside Ferencvarosi.
