Four Barcelona players attended Melendi’s concert at Palau Sant Jordi on Sunday evening, just two days before the club’s Champions League meeting with Aston Villa.
Rodri Hernandez, Pedri Gonzalez, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez were present at the show, which began at 21:00 and formed part of Melendi’s “Pop Rock” tour. The Asturian singer is using the tour to perform songs from his new album, which is scheduled for release in the coming months.
The Barcelona players watched the performance from one of the venue’s boxes and enjoyed some of Melendi’s best-known songs, according to Mundo Deportivo.
TVE journalist Albert Castillo was among those in the audience to record footage of the players. He singled out Rodri Hernandez as one of the most enthusiastic supporters at the concert.
The quartet had completed recovery work earlier on Sunday after starting Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Alaves on Saturday evening. The squad trained at the club’s sports city that morning, with the four players following individual recovery exercises because of their involvement from the start against Alaves.
Barcelona’s emphatic win came before the team began its preparations for the next Champions League fixture. The Catalan side trained on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s fourth-round match against Aston Villa.
The game is scheduled for 03 November 2026, with Barcelona facing Aston Villa in their latest Champions League assignment.
