Joao Felix has been linked with a move from Al Nassr to Al Hilal during next summer’s transfer window, amid uncertainty over the Portuguese playmaker’s long-term future in the Roshn Saudi League.
Felix joined Al Nassr from Chelsea in the summer of 2025 and has made a significant impact since arriving. He helped the club win the latest edition of the Roshn Saudi League and was subsequently named the competition’s player of the season.
His contract is due to end next June, with Felix expected to enter the final six months of his deal in January 2027. That has prompted speculation that he could leave Al Nassr, despite his influential performances for the club.
The possibility of a move to Al Hilal was discussed on the programme Al-Manssa, broadcast by Thmanyah, after presenter Turki Alajmah asked former Al Hilal chief executive Tariq Al-Tuwaijri about social media posts in which he had mentioned the prospect of the club signing Felix.
Al-Tuwaijri said: “First and foremost, I hope Felix does not leave the Roshn Saudi League. If Al Hilal can sign him, that would be good. The same applies to Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli.”
The exchange attracted further attention because Alajmah appeared to believe Al-Tuwaijri might have inside knowledge about Felix’s situation, particularly with reports suggesting that renewing the player’s contract could prove difficult.
Felix’s record at Al Nassr
Felix has made 60 appearances for Al Nassr in domestic and continental competitions, producing 58 goal contributions.
The Portugal international has scored 31 goals and supplied 27 assists during that period. In his most recent appearance, against Al Kholood, he created four goals for his team-mates.
That performance also saw Felix become the first player in Al Nassr’s history to provide four assists in a single match.
His form has therefore made him one of the most productive players in the competition, while the uncertainty surrounding his contract has fuelled discussion over whether he will remain at Al Nassr or continue his career elsewhere in the Roshn Saudi League.
