Fasofoot Ligue 1: Focusport fight back from 2-0 down to beat RCK

Focusport FC staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Rail Club du Kadiogo (RCK) 3-2 in the seventh round of the Fasofoot Ligue 1.

The Aigles appeared to be heading for defeat after falling two goals behind, but a late surge completed a remarkable turnaround in a match that changed direction several times.

RCK made the stronger start and took the lead in the 26th minute through Kinda Josias. Alexis Leama then doubled the Faucons’ advantage to put Focusport under significant pressure.

Focusport responded before half-time when Habiboulaye Sana pulled a goal back in the 37th minute. His strike kept the match within reach and gave his side renewed hope going into the second half.

The balance of the game shifted further in the 66th minute, when a RCK player was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Focusport were able to make their numerical advantage count as they increased the pressure.

Sana completed his double in the 87th minute to bring Focusport level at 2-2. With the match entering its final moments, Salif Sangare scored in the 94th minute to complete the comeback and secure victory.

Focusport FC therefore overturned a two-goal deficit to win 3-2, recording one of the most notable recoveries of the seventh matchday in the Burkinabe championship.
