Ousmane Dembele injured

Paris Saint-Germain will be without Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes for Friday’s Ligue 1 meeting with Le Havre AC after the club confirmed that the trio remain unavailable.

The absences come after an injury-hit period for the French champions, with all three players struggling with fitness issues following recent matches.

Dembélé sustained a thigh injury during PSG’s UEFA Champions League encounter with Barcelona and was withdrawn early in the match.

Marquinhos also had to leave the game after suffering a muscular injury, while Mendes remains sidelined after picking up a similar problem during the victory over RC Strasbourg Alsace.

The Portuguese defender subsequently missed the Champions League fixture against Barcelona.

PSG injury concerns grow after Barcelona clash

PSG suffered several injury setbacks during their meeting with Barcelona, with Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also forced off.

Kvaratskhelia has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and is expected to miss a significant portion of the season, potentially its remainder.

The injuries affecting Dembélé, Marquinhos and Mendes are considered shorter-term setbacks, but none of the three will be available for the trip to Normandy.

Their absence leaves PSG without several important players as they look to maintain their position at the top of Ligue 1.

League leaders face struggling Le Havre

PSG travel to face Le Havre on Friday night as league leaders following a challenging start to the campaign.

Didier Digard’s Le Havre side, meanwhile, sit bottom of the Ligue 1 standings and will be looking to take advantage of the visitors’ injury problems.

Despite their fitness concerns, PSG will aim to continue their league campaign at the top of the table, while Le Havre have an opportunity to challenge the defending champions on home soil.
