Pyramids have been drawn in Group D of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League alongside Sudanese side Al Hilal, Guinea’s Horoya Conakry and Maghreb Fez of Morocco.

The draw took place in Cairo, with Pyramids placed as the top-seeded team in the group. They were also drawn alongside two Arab clubs.

Pyramids administrative manager Ahmed Zahr said every team in the group stage could challenge for the trophy, while insisting his side’s ambitions extended across both competitions in which they are involved.

“The team is focused on every competition, whether the league or the CAF Champions League, and our aim is to go as far as possible in both,” Zahr told On Sport.

He added: “The Champions League is a strong competition featuring major teams. Many sides are candidates to win the title, and the team that puts in the greatest effort will be crowned champions.”
