Harry Kane’s rare Rolex adds luxury touch to first Ballon d’Or triumph

Harry Kane’s first Ballon d’Or success was the main focus of his evening in London, but the Bayern Munich striker also attracted attention for the luxury watch he wore to the ceremony.

The England captain arrived at the London Palladium on Monday evening with his wife, Katie Goodland, wearing a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona made with blue sapphire. The model is regarded as one of the Swiss brand’s rarest and most expensive designs.

According to French website Foot Mercato, citing the British newspaper The Sun, the watch is estimated to be worth about £1m, equivalent to approximately €1.15m.

Its distinctive design includes a dial made from meteorite stone and a bezel set with blue sapphires. Those features make it one of the most unusual and eye-catching pieces in Rolex’s luxury collection.

The watch, however, was only an additional detail in a landmark night for Kane.

The Bayern Munich forward won the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career, becoming the first English player to receive the award since Michael Owen in 2001.

Kane also collected the Gerd Muller Trophy, which recognises the leading attacking players, adding another honour in recognition of his goalscoring ability and attacking influence.

His success combined a high-profile appearance with the most significant individual achievement of his career so far. Kane has moved from establishing himself among the leading forwards in the game to becoming the central figure at one of football’s most prominent global ceremonies.

The schedule listing included Bayern Munich’s German Cup match against Magdeburg on 28 October 2026, followed by their Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Dortmund on 31 October 2026.
