Raja Casablanca midfielder Adam Nafati back from injury ahead of Hassania Agadir clash
Raja Casablanca coach Paco Gimiz has received a boost ahead of Wednesday’s Moroccan league meeting with Hassania Agadir after midfielder Adam Nafati returned to full group training following several months out with a muscle injury.
The Moroccan side will face Hassania in the fifth round of the professional league at the Larbi Zaouli Complex, with Nafati available for selection after missing the start of the season’s domestic and CAF Confederation Cup campaigns.
Nafati returns after lengthy injury absence
Nafati resumed training with his teammates following Raja’s 2-0 victory over Nigeria’s El-Kanemi Warriors in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup’s second preliminary round.
That result secured Raja’s place in the group stage with a 4-2 aggregate victory, providing further encouragement for Gimiz as his side prepare for their domestic assignment.
Nafati’s return could offer the Spanish coach another option as Raja look to build momentum in the league.
Raja seek second league victory
Gimiz will be hoping to make the most of the returning midfielder as Raja aim to claim their second win in the professional league this season.
The club have drawn their last two matches against Moghreb Fes and Fath Union Sport, leaving the coach looking for a stronger result against Hassania Agadir.
Nafati could make his first official appearance of the season if selected, giving Raja a potential addition as they balance their domestic ambitions with their campaign in African club competition.
