This positive turn of events comes as a surprise considering the challenges Ayité faced in the past, particularly with muscular issues that affected his availability and mindset.
“For a long time, due to my muscular problems, I was not available mentally. I focused on making the right pass instead of taking the initiative to provoke or defend,” Ayité shared in an interview with our colleagues from the Team.
However, this season has witnessed a transformative shift, notably in Ayité’s mental approach.
“I have regained confidence, knowing that I can both attack and come back to defend. This year, I have finally liberated myself. It’s a matter of mindset. What I practice in training, I naturally replicate in matches,” expressed the young Togolese player.
Reims currently holds the sixth position in the French championship with 18 points, surpassing Saint-Etienne and trailing behind Marseille, who share the same number of points.
