Kings League MENA: 3BS and Turbo complete quarter-final line-up after dramatic final round

3BS and Turbo secured the final two quarter-final places in Kings League MENA’s Split 1 after a decisive ninth and final league-stage round at Riyadh’s Cool Arena.

Their results saw them finish above ABO FC and Rising Peaks, while DR7, RA2 and Red Zone also confirmed their places in the last eight.

The quarter-final ties will be played on Monday, 26 October, with Red Zone facing RA2, Turbo meeting Ultra Chmicha and DR7 taking on 3BS. FWZ, led by Fawaz, had already booked a direct place in the semi-finals after finishing top of the overall standings.

RA2, led by team president and content creator Raed, reached the quarter-finals with a 7-2 victory over Qatar’s ABO FC, a result which officially eliminated Abu Falah’s side.

The Saudi team extended its winning run, which began in round six, when goalkeeper Eloy Amoedo opened the scoring in the second minute. Hussam Taha, David Reyes and Nawaf Saleh then added three outstanding goals to give RA2 a commanding advantage midway through the match.

RA2’s leading scorer, two-time player of the match award winner Marc Suroch, completed the victory with a penalty before scoring again during Matchball Mode.

Turbo, led by team president and content creator Tarboun, also secured a quarter-final place by beating Morocco’s Bakhira FC 4-2.

Bakhira, jointly led by Ashraf Sabiri and Younes Zaro, suffered an early setback when Luis “Bolt” Henrique was sent off in the opening seconds for a foul during a one-on-one challenge.

Despite being reduced to six players, Bakhira remained competitive through Mehdi Qasim, who scored a penalty and found the net in the shoot-out. Tarboun also converted his team’s president’s penalty.

Turbo led 3-2 when the match entered Matchball Mode, where Youssef El Nabrawy scored the golden goal. El Nabrawy had already found the net in the 23rd minute and struck again in the 41st to settle the contest. Bakhira had already been certain of elimination since round eight.

Jordanian side 3BS, led by Absi, beat DR7 on penalties after a thrilling match finished 4-4 at the end of normal time in the 36th minute. Three goals were scored in the opening minute as 3BS moved 2-1 ahead, while both presidents, Darbaha and Absi, missed their president’s penalties in the second half.

French striker Moussa Sao scored the decisive penalty to give 3BS a chance of reaching the quarter-finals. However, the team still needed Rising Peaks to beat Red Zone. Instead, Red Zone defeated Shahri’s side, eliminating Rising Peaks and sending fellow Jordanians 3BS through.

Abdullah Al-Drees converted Rising Peaks’ president’s penalty, while Ali Moussa scored Red Zone’s seventh such penalty of the tournament. Maherko’s team then scored four unanswered goals in the second half to lead 7-4 entering Matchball Mode.

In the final match, Ultra Chmicha defeated already-qualified FWZ after the lead changed hands several times. The Moroccan team, led by Elias Al-Malki, scored a double goal in the 33rd minute and added another to lead 7-4 in Matchball Mode. FWZ reduced the deficit by two goals, but Walid Jaadi sealed the win in the 41st minute as Ultra Chmicha moved third and FWZ remained top.

The Final Four will take place on 30 October to decide the Split 1 champions. Matches are available through the teams’ personal streaming channels and the official Kings League MENA channels on Kick, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, with MBC Action and Shahid providing live coverage across the Middle East and North Africa.
