Raja Casablanca within touching distance of CAF Confederation Cup group stage

Raja Casablanca are 45 minutes away from securing a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after drawing 0-0 with El-Kanemi Warriors at half-time in their second-round preliminary second leg.

The match is being played at the Complexe Sportif Mohammed V, with Raja currently set to progress because of the away-goals rule.

The Moroccan side drew 2-2 in the first leg in Nigeria, meaning a goalless draw in Casablanca would be enough to take them through.

El-Kanemi Warriors have defended with a compact and disciplined shape that has proved difficult for Raja to break down. The hosts have controlled possession but have lacked the cutting edge needed in the final third to open the scoring.

Despite their provisional advantage, Raja will need to improve after the interval if they are to avoid a tense finish at the Complexe Sportif Mohammed V.
