Senegal winger Moustapha Fanné joins Jaraaf on two-year deal after Finland spell
Senegalese winger Moustapha Fanné has opted to continue his career with Jaraaf, signing a two-year contract with the Dakar-based club following his brief spell with Finnish side SJK Seinäjoki.
The 20-year-old had reportedly been expected to return to his former club, Guédiawaye FC, but has instead chosen Jaraaf as his next destination ahead of the 2026–2027 campaign.
According to reports, an attractive salary package and a substantial signing bonus played a significant role in convincing the young winger to commit his future to the Dakar-based outfit.
Fanné’s decision marks a return to Senegalese football after his experience in Finland, where he had been seeking to develop his career and gain valuable experience abroad.
His arrival is expected to provide Jaraaf with an additional attacking option as the club looks to strengthen its squad and improve its performances in the ongoing campaign.
The Dakar-based side began the season with a draw in the league and will be hoping that the addition of the young winger can inject greater pace, creativity and attacking threat into their forward line.
Fanné’s ability to operate in wide attacking positions could offer Jaraaf more options in the final third, particularly as they seek to turn promising attacking situations into goals and secure better results in the coming fixtures.
At 20, the winger still has considerable room for development, and his return to the Senegalese top flight presents an opportunity to gain regular playing time while continuing his progression.
Although a move back to Guédiawaye FC had been anticipated, Fanné has now committed to Jaraaf for the next two seasons, giving the club an opportunity to benefit from his services as they pursue their objectives for the 2026–2027 campaign.
The Senegalese winger will now look to settle quickly into his new surroundings and justify the club’s investment with consistent performances in the Jaraaf colours.
