Newcastle United are monitoring Ghanaian forward Dyeidu Massiah following his impressive start to the season with United Arab Emirates outfit Forte Virtus, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has attracted attention from several European clubs after scoring four goals in his first five appearances for the UAE First Division side.

Speaking in his Givemesport newsletter, football transfer journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed Newcastle’s interest in the promising attacker, although discussions remain at an early stage.

“My information is they are monitoring a very promising young Ghanaian footballer by the name of Dyeidu Massiah who’s currently playing for Forte Virtus in the UAE first division,” Jacobs said.

He added that Newcastle had begun scouting the teenager, describing him as a prospect to watch as he continues to develop into 2027 and beyond.

Spanish club Racing Santander and Swedish side AIK have also reportedly expressed interest in the forward, potentially setting up competition for his signature.

Newcastle’s interest reflects their recruitment strategy under head coach Matthias Jaissle, who has experience developing young players through the Red Bull football system. The club recruited several players aged 24 or younger during the summer transfer window.

The Magpies currently sit 11th in the Premier League table following consecutive defeats against Coventry City and Aston Villa.

Massiah’s continued development could determine whether Newcastle or other interested clubs pursue a move in the coming transfer windows.
