Floyd Mogale leaves Mbabane Highlanders after three months in charge

South African coach Floyd Mogale has left Eswatini club Mbabane Highlanders AM after only three months in the role.

Mogale was appointed in July and his departure follows a difficult opening to the Eswatini Premier League 2026/27 season.

Soccer Laduma understands that Mogale decided to step down during a meeting on Monday, several days after Highlanders suffered a 1-0 defeat by Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The club’s general manager, Richard Makhoba, confirmed Mogale’s exit and thanked him for his work.

“I wish him all the best in his future endeavours. He is a great coach, but unfortunately, it did not work out for us at Highlanders. We thank him for his contribution and wish him nothing but the best going forward,” said Makhoba.

Highlanders are currently 10th in the league table after four matches. They have recorded one win, two defeats and one draw.

Makhoba said the club would announce a replacement for Mogale in due course.
