Yan Diomande strengthens Real Madrid claims with goals and assists in four consecutive starts

Yan Diomande continued his impressive run for Real Madrid by scoring and providing an assist in Sunday’s match against Sevilla FC, underlining the growing influence of the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international in the club’s attack.

The forward has now made a decisive contribution in each of his past four starts. He scored against Villarreal, set up a goal against Elche and supplied another assist against AS Roma before producing a goal and an assist in the meeting with Sevilla.

That sequence gives Diomande two goals and three assists across his last four starts, highlighting his consistency as well as his ability to affect matches in different ways.

Rather than relying solely on his finishing, Diomande has increasingly shown an ability to create opportunities for team-mates. His recent performances have combined movement and direct attacking play with a willingness to provide the final pass, giving Real Madrid another option in the final third.

His contribution against Sevilla was the clearest example so far. Alongside finding the net himself, he put a team-mate in position to score, demonstrating the balance between individual threat and chance creation that has characterised his recent form.

A growing role in Real Madrid’s attack

Diomande’s impact against Villarreal, Elche, AS Roma and Sevilla suggests his influence is developing over a sustained run rather than being restricted to one-off performances. His ability to contribute in successive matches is an encouraging sign of his progress at Real Madrid.

For the Spanish club, having a player capable of regularly making a difference in the final third offers an important additional attacking outlet. The next challenge will be to maintain that level over a longer period in an environment where expectations are particularly high.

His four latest starts have presented him as a decisive and versatile player who is becoming increasingly involved in Real Madrid’s attacking play. If he continues in the same vein, he could emerge as one of the forwards to watch closely in the coming weeks.

Diomande is under contract with Real Madrid until 2031 and is valued at 120 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Leipzig are due to face Real Madrid in their Champions League third-round match shortly.
