Phinnet City sign former Magesi FC midfielder Tholang Masegela

Limpopo ABC Motsepe League club Phinnet City have signed former Magesi FC midfielder Tholang Masegela.

The Polokwane-based side confirmed that the 28-year-old, who has top-flight experience, had joined their squad after leaving Magesi following the club’s relegation at the end of last season.

“Former Magesi FC player Thuli Masegela is now in the books of Phinnet City FC,” the club announced.

Masegela made 20 league appearances for Magesi last term but was unable to prevent Dikwena tsa Meetse from dropping into the second tier.

Magesi released several players after their relegation, with Masegela among those who departed the club.

He is now part of a Phinnet City squad that includes a number of former PSL players.

The club recently added another experienced recruit in Judas Moseamedi, who previously played for Cape Town City and Stellenbosch.

The 32-year-old forward has also represented Maritzburg United and Marumo Gallants during his career.
