Kaizer Chiefs confirm Red Arrows CAF Confederation Cup match will not be televised

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their CAF Confederation Cup tie against Red Arrows will not be shown on television or streamed live in South Africa on Saturday.

Amakhosi will face the Zambian side at Lewy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola in the second preliminary round first leg, with Fernando Da Cruz’s team seeking a positive result away from home.

The match will not be available to South African broadcasters after the hosts were unable to provide the technical link required for SABC to carry the game.

“This afternoon’s CAF Confederation Cup clash against Red Arrows FC will not be televised in South Africa. Unfortunately, the hosting team has been unable to provide our broadcasters, SABC with the necessary link to air the match in Mzansi,” Kaizer Chiefs said.

The club also confirmed there would be no live-streaming option for supporters.

“We will keep Amakhosi faithful updated directly from the venue on X with coverage and key moments as they happen in Ndola, Zambia,” the club added.

Kaizer Chiefs received a bye in the opening round of the competition.

Red Arrows progressed to the second preliminary round after defeating Inate Rouge 4-0 on aggregate.
