Francis Amuzu: Anderlecht linked with move for Gremio winger
Ghanaian-Belgian winger Francis Amuzu is being linked with a move from Gremio to Anderlecht, his former club, with a potential return to the Jupiler Pro League emerging as a transfer possibility.
Amuzu, 27, joined Gremio from Anderlecht on 10 February 2025 in a deal worth €1.2m. His current contract with the Brazilian club runs until 31 December 2026, while his market value is listed at €8m.
The left winger has made 25 appearances in Brazil’s 2026 Serie A campaign, scoring once and providing three assists. He has also featured in the Copa do Brasil, Copa Sudamericana and Campeonato Gaucho, where he helped Gremio win the state championship in the 2025-26 season.
Amuzu has been used primarily on the left side of the attack and is right-footed. His move to Gremio ended a long association with Anderlecht, where he progressed through the club’s academy before joining the senior side in 2018.
The reported interest comes with Amuzu approaching the final months of his Gremio contract, although no transfer fee or agreement has been established. He remains a Gremio player and is under contract until the end of 2026.
