Ivorian outfit Yamoussoukro FC sign striker Mory Kamagaté on two-year deal
Ivorian Ligue 1 side Yamoussoukro FC have completed the signing of forward Mory Kamagaté from Ghana’s Taking Over Academy on a two-year contract running until 2028.
The newly promoted club announced the acquisition on Tuesday, October 13, as they continue to strengthen their squad following an impressive start to the 2026/27 Ivorian top-flight campaign.
Kamagaté, who stands at 1.92 metres tall, is expected to provide additional attacking options for the Rams as they seek to maintain their strong start to life in the Ivorian professional league.
Confirming the transfer, Yamoussoukro FC welcomed the young centre-forward in an official statement, expressing delight at securing his services from the Ghanaian academy.
The move represents an important step in Kamagaté’s development, offering him an opportunity to test himself in a competitive first-division environment and gain valuable experience outside Ghana.
Yamoussoukro FC’s decision to reinforce their attacking department comes amid a promising start to their first season back in Ligue 1. Despite being newcomers to the competition, the club have quickly established themselves as a side to watch.
After the opening three matchdays, the Rams have recorded two victories and one draw, collecting seven points to sit top of the league standings.
Kamagaté’s arrival is expected to add depth to the team’s forward line as the club look to build on their early momentum and remain competitive throughout the season.
With his two-year deal running until 2028, the Ghanaian striker will have an opportunity to establish himself in Ivorian football while helping Yamoussoukro FC pursue their ambitions in the top flight.
