AC Milan join Juventus and AS Roma in race for Sassuolo teenager Darryl Bakola

AC Milan have entered the competition to sign Sassuolo midfielder Darryl Bakola, with the 18-year-old’s reputation continuing to grow ahead of the winter transfer window.

According to information from Ekrem Konur, the Rossoneri are monitoring the French-Congolese player, who began his football education at Olympique de Marseille before continuing his development in Italy.

Bakola’s potential has attracted the attention of AC Milan’s recruitment team. His contract with Sassuolo runs until June 2030, giving the club a strong negotiating position should interest in the midfielder develop into formal offers.

AC Milan face competition from two other leading Italian clubs. Juventus and AS Roma are also following Bakola’s progress, meaning Sassuolo could have several suitors to consider if the player becomes available.

The Italian club value the midfielder at 35 million euros. That figure is significantly higher than his current estimated market value of 15 million euros, underlining Sassuolo’s view of his long-term potential.

Bakola’s encouraging start to the season has helped fuel the interest. He has made seven appearances for Sassuolo and has already provided two assists, contributing to the team’s attacking play despite his age.

The midfielder, who was born in Clichy, is now preparing for Sassuolo’s next Serie A fixture. The club are due to face Frosinone in their seventh league match of the season.

His development in Italy has placed him on the radar of three of the country’s biggest clubs. However, with Sassuolo holding Bakola under contract until June 2030 and demanding 35 million euros, any deal is likely to depend on whether one of his suitors is prepared to meet that valuation.
