African football news: Nigerian youngsters join BUL FC as Kofi Amoako linked with Hannover 96
Africafoot’s live roundup on 13 October 2026 features moves involving Nigerian prospects in Uganda, Saudi Arabia and Spain, as well as transfer interest in German-born Ghanaian midfielder Kofi Amoako.
Daniel Bartholomew and Isaac Edetse have joined Ugandan club BIDCO Uganda Limited Football Club, known as BUL FC, after completing the required administrative formalities.
The two Nigerian players arrived from the Olif Sports FA academy in Nigeria and will now continue their development in the Uganda Premier Division. They are set to represent the Eastern Giant as they begin life in the country’s top flight.
Their agency, JK Sports Management, confirmed the move on social media.
Noble Eddy has also started a new chapter after completing a move to Al Jabalain FC in Saudi Arabia. The Nigerian central defender announced the transfer on his social media accounts.
His arrival gives the club, based in Ha’il, another option as it strengthens its squad for the demands of the Saudi First Division League. The move takes Eddy into a new challenge in the second tier of Saudi football.
Michael Olisa is heading to Catalonia after joining Club Atletico Iberia, according to reports from Ojo David.
The Nigerian young central defender will become part of the Spanish side’s squad in Barcelona, Catalonia. Olisa, who is a Nigeria youth international, is expected to compete in Group 9 of the Tercera Catalana as he begins this latest stage of his professional career in north-eastern Spain.
Meanwhile, Kofi Amoako has emerged as a reported target for Hannover 96, according to Bild.
The German-Ghanaian midfielder moved to Hamburg this summer from Dynamo Dresden in a deal worth 1.8 million euros and signed a contract running until June 2030. He is now the subject of transfer speculation linking him with Hannover 96, only a few months after making the step up to the Bundesliga.
Amoako’s market value has risen to 4 million euros. However, his Bundesliga involvement so far has amounted to one substitute appearance, lasting three minutes, without a decisive contribution.
