Kaizer Chiefs defender Thabo Moloisane says winning the CAF Champions League is the biggest ambition he wants to fulfil during his time with the Soweto club.
The 27-year-old joined Amakhosi on a free transfer in the recent transfer window after bringing his spell at Stellenbosch FC to an end.
Moloisane arrived at Naturena with the Carling Knockout Cup as the only major honour in his career, having won the competition with Stellies during the 2023/24 season.
His priority at Chiefs, however, is to help the club return to the top of African football and add a star to its badge by winning the CAF Champions League. He also believes the side can compete strongly for the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
“A star [CAF Champions League],” said Moloisane.
“That’s the first thing to say, man. We have an opportunity to see if we can do it this season.”
The defender also wants to help Chiefs win the league title, which would be a significant achievement given the club’s long wait for domestic success.
Kaizer Chiefs last won the league in 2014 under former manager Stuart Baxter.
“And the league, of course, it’s one thing that has gone past us for a long time. And for me, it’s my first season. I hope we’ll get as many trophies as we can,” he added.
“And that’s where the start is. Then the rest of the other ambitions will come.”
