Senegalese midfielder Fallou Fall has left Olympique Lyonnais to join Sporting Club de Bastia, signing a three year contract with the French club that runs until 2029.
The 20 year old is moving to Bastia in search of greater opportunities to develop his career and make progress in senior football after spending his time at Lyon primarily with the club’s reserve team.
Fall joined Lyon in October 2024 but did not make an appearance for the first team during his time at the club. His move to Bastia offers him a fresh opportunity to continue his development in a new environment.
The midfielder will now look to make the most of his time in Corsica as he works towards establishing himself in professional football.
His departure brings an end to his spell with Lyon, where he was unable to break into the senior side despite being part of the club’s setup.
At 20, Fall remains at an important stage of his development, and the three year agreement with Bastia provides him with a new setting in which to pursue his ambitions.
The move also marks a change of direction for the young Senegalese player as he begins the next stage of his career away from Lyon.
Fall will hope to use the opportunity at Bastia to gain further experience and take the next step towards becoming a regular presence in senior football.
