Chelsea have extended Cole Palmer’s contract until 2034, with the England forward also receiving improved financial terms.
Palmer’s previous deal was due to run until 2033, meaning the new agreement adds one further season to his contract while increasing his salary.
The extension continues Chelsea’s policy of committing players to long-term contracts. Despite speculation linking Palmer with a move away from Stamford Bridge, he previously told The Guardian that he had no plans to leave the London club.
“Chelsea means a lot to me, and I believe the club is going in the right direction,” Palmer said in a statement published on Chelsea’s website. “I am obviously very happy to extend my contract.”
He added: “I have spoken to the owners, the sporting director and, of course, the manager, and they have given me confidence. I have also spoken to the players.
“Everyone within the organisation has ambition. I feel that we can win major trophies consistently here and I want to play a part in that.”
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has made 138 appearances for the club, scoring 58 goals and providing 34 assists.
The 2025 season saw him play a key role as Chelsea won both the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Palmer scored twice in the Club World Cup final as Chelsea beat Paris Saint-Germain.
He has started the current campaign with four goals and two assists in Chelsea’s first seven matches in all competitions.
Palmer subsequently withdrew from England’s latest squad because of workload management.
