TS Galaxy could be close to resolving their coaching structure, with the club expected to provide greater clarity on their technical team in the coming days.
Bernard Parker’s position at The Rockets has come under scrutiny, according to a report by Soccer Laduma on Friday afternoon. Sources indicated that the former Kaizer Chiefs striker could leave the club altogether.
Parker originally took charge of TS Galaxy’s DDC team before being appointed assistant coach to Adnan Beganovic last season. He then assumed responsibility for the senior side after Beganovic’s departure, helping the club retain its place in the Betway Premiership.
However, Galaxy have made a difficult start to the 2026/27 campaign. Club chairman Tim Sukazi subsequently suggested that changes to the technical team could be considered.
Sources have indicated that Parker may return to an assistant coach position while continuing to complete his coaching qualifications. At the same time, Galaxy are understood to be seeking a UEFA Pro-licensed coach to add experience to their technical staff.
That search has revived the possibility of Beganovic returning to the club. The Bosnian coach remains on good terms with Sukazi, and sources previously told the Siya crew that a reunion could not be ruled out.
Beganovic is understood to be available again after dealing with family matters following his departure from Galaxy. The Siya crew has since been informed that the club has approached him, with discussions believed to have progressed as The Rockets work towards finalising their plans.
His existing relationship with Sukazi could be an important factor as Galaxy assess their options. However, the club have not ruled out other candidates while they continue their search for an experienced head coach.
TS Galaxy’s pursuit of a UEFA Pro-licensed coach indicates that a decision on the future shape of the technical team may be nearing. Whether that results in a return for Beganovic or the appointment of another candidate remains undecided.
The Rockets are due to play Orlando Pirates in their next league match on October 13. The days before that fixture could bring further information about the club’s coaching plans.
