Jeremiaha Maluze makes progress but misses Leipzig clash
Jeremiaha Maluze is making progress in his recovery from a thigh injury, but the Eintracht Frankfurt defender will not be available for Saturday’s Bundesliga trip to RB Leipzig.
The 21-year-old has recently returned to partial team training after spending several weeks on the sidelines. Maluze suffered the injury during Frankfurt’s league match against Mainz in September and was initially ruled out indefinitely.
Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter confirmed the latest update ahead of the Leipzig clash, explaining that Maluze has returned to training but is currently feeling unwell.
“Jeremiaha Maluze has returned to training but is feeling under the weather at the moment and will miss the game,” Hütter said.
Maluze had made an encouraging start to the 2026/27 campaign before his injury. He has made two Bundesliga appearances, recording one assist, while also featuring once in the DFB-Pokal.
His gradual return will be welcomed by Frankfurt, particularly after the young centre-back signed a contract extension running until 2031 in August.
The club will now continue to manage his recovery carefully before determining when he can resume full training and return to competitive action.
