Raja Athletic Club will travel to Nigeria on Friday, 16 October, ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary-round first-leg tie against El Kanemi Warriors.

The Moroccan club are preparing for the trip as they begin their campaign at the second preliminary round after receiving a bye from the opening round because of their continental ranking.

Raja will face El Kanemi on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at the Remo Stars artificial-turf stadium in Ikenne, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 local time.

Sierra Leone referees appointed

The Confederation of African Football has appointed a Sierra Leonean officiating team for the encounter.

Suleiman Santio Santio Camara will referee the match, with Saher Abdoulaye and Alosin Conte serving as assistant referees.

Rachid Mohamed Conte has been appointed as the fourth official.

Raja seek advantage in Nigeria

Raja will be aiming to return from Nigeria with a positive result that would give them an advantage ahead of the second leg in Morocco.

The first-leg result will be particularly important for the Moroccan side as they look to secure progress to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The return fixture will be played in Morocco, where Raja will look to complete the tie and secure their place in the next round of the competition.
