Aston Villa have joined Roma and AC Milan in the pursuit of Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Brazilian teenager potentially available on loan during the upcoming January transfer window.
According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Aston Villa are competing with the two Italian clubs to secure a temporary move for the 20-year-old, who has struggled to establish himself in Real Madrid’s first team this season.
Endrick returned to Real Madrid at the start of the campaign after a successful loan spell with French club Lyon. However, limited opportunities at the Spanish club, combined with a muscle injury, have increased the possibility of him leaving in January.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola reported that AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim is one of the principal supporters of a move for Endrick. The forward has played only four minutes for Real Madrid this season, according to the report, and his progress has also been disrupted by the injury.
AC Milan are not the only Italian club interested in signing him. Roma’s management have already contacted Endrick’s agency, while Aston Villa have entered the competition more recently.
The striker enjoyed a productive spell with Lyon last season, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists in 21 appearances. That form helped him recover some of the reputation he had built before returning to Real Madrid.
Endrick now has the coming weeks to convince Mourinho that he can make a meaningful contribution to the Real Madrid team. If he fails to secure a regular role, AC Milan could have a clearer opportunity to renew their efforts to sign him in January.
Despite the earlier figure of four minutes cited by A Bola, the article also states that Endrick has played only three minutes for Real Madrid since the beginning of the current season.
