USM Alger has decided not to participate in the next edition of the African Football Confederation Cup. This decision was made by the club’s leaders, taking into consideration a proposal by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF). The FAF president, Mohamed Raouraoua, had previously suggested that local clubs skip the upcoming continental competitions for technical, sporting, and financial reasons. The decision by USM Alger not to compete also extends to the Arab Club Cup, which they currently hold. Entente Sétif, the Algerian champion, has confirmed its participation in the Champions League, while other clubs, like CS Constantine and USM El Harrach, are yet to decide on their involvement.
