Judas Moseamedi joins Phinnet City for 2026/27 ABC Motsepe League season

Former Maritzburg United and Stellenbosch FC striker Judas Moseamedi has joined Phinnet City FC, continuing his career in the lower divisions of South African football.

The 32-year-old forward will play for the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League club during the 2026/27 season after leaving fellow Limpopo side Selwane White Vultures.

Phinnet City confirmed Moseamedi’s arrival on Tuesday, bringing considerable experience from the professional game to their squad.

Moseamedi previously played in the Premier Soccer League and also represented Black Leopards, Venda FC and Marumo Gallants in Limpopo before moving into the province’s amateur ranks.

He will now return to the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League, where he is expected to combine his goalscoring ability with the experience gained during a career that has taken him across South Africa and abroad.

Moseamedi’s professional career

The striker established himself with a number of clubs in the South African professional ranks, including Maritzburg United, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Free State Stars, Cape Town City and Durban City.

He also spent a short period outside South Africa with Tunisian club El Gawafel Sportives de Gafsa. His time there lasted a few months before he returned home in 2023.

Although his move to Phinnet City takes him away from the professional game, the club will hope his background at a higher level can strengthen their challenge in the provincial competition.

Moseamedi is expected to provide leadership within the team as well as a threat in front of goal. His understanding of the demands of professional football could prove valuable as Phinnet City seek to establish themselves in Limpopo.

The veteran forward will aim to make an immediate impact when the 2026/27 ABC Motsepe League campaign begins and help the club compete strongly in the division.
