Egypt defender Mohamed Hany remains undecided on Al Ahly contract renewal
Al Ahly right-back Mohamed Hany remains undecided over his future with the Egyptian giants as negotiations over a contract extension continue to stall.
Hany’s current contract with the Red Devils runs until mid-2027, but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal, leaving his long-term future at the Cairo-based club uncertain.
Despite the situation surrounding his contract, Hany has not opened negotiations with any other club and has not received an official offer to leave Al Ahly.
The defender has also not signed an agreement with another team and has yet to make a final decision on whether to extend his stay with the Egyptian champions.
Al Ahly had previously suspended negotiations with Hany after presenting what was considered its final proposal, reportedly worth 25 million, together with a 10 million bonus and an agreed percentage from advertising activities.
The club and the player have so far maintained their respective positions, with discussions consequently reaching a standstill.
Hany remains an important member of the Al Ahly squad, but with no agreement reached over a renewal, his situation is expected to remain under close observation as the club considers its next step.
For now, the 30-year-old continues to be an Al Ahly player, with his current deal running until mid-2027. However, his decision on whether to commit his future to the Red Devils remains pending.
