El Sharqia Enppi beat Zamalek 2-1 in friendly
Zamalek suffered a 2-1 defeat to El Sharqia Enppi in a friendly match as both teams continued preparations for their upcoming competitive fixtures.
El Sharqia Enppi took control of the game after Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba converted a penalty to give his side the lead.
Mohamed El Nahhas then doubled the advantage after breaking through on goal and calmly finishing his one-on-one opportunity to put El Sharqia Enppi 2-0 ahead.
Zamalek attempted to respond and came close to reducing the deficit in the 21st minute when Ahmed Abdel Rahim Esho found himself in a promising position inside the area, but his effort went narrowly wide of the post.
Esho eventually found the breakthrough for Zamalek in the 31st minute. The youngster produced a fine piece of skill to beat an Enppi defender before firing the ball into the net to make it 2-1.
Zamalek pushed for an equaliser after the restart, but neither side was able to add to the scoreline.
In the 70th minute, Al-Jafali was introduced as Zamalek continued to make changes during the friendly.
Despite their efforts, Zamalek could not find a second goal, with the referee eventually bringing the contest to an end with El Sharqia Enppi securing a 2-1 victory.
Zamalek started the game with Mohamed Sobhi in goal, while Mahmoud Bentayg, Mahmoud Hamdy “El Wensh”, Mostafa El Zenary and Omar Gaber formed the defensive line.
Ahmed Rabie, Mohamed Shehata, Abdullah Al-Saeed, Saif Jaafar and Esho operated in midfield, with Ahmed Sherif leading the attack.
