Napoli are keeping track of Oumar Solet as they consider how to strengthen their defence, according to Gazzetta.it.
The 26-year-old has impressed with his performances for Udinese and is attracting growing interest because of his physical strength and positional awareness. Napoli have collected seven points from their opening five matches and are assessing options to improve their squad.
No formal discussions have taken place at this stage. However, Napoli’s directors are monitoring Solet’s situation and could make an approach if the conditions in the market become favourable.
The interest comes as Udinese have endured a difficult start to the season. They are 13th in the league after five games and have conceded 11 goals.
Solet’s experience at senior level is another factor in his appeal. He came through at Creteil before moving to RB Salzburg, where he gained experience of playing at the highest level.
His profile could suit Napoli’s search for greater defensive strength and discipline. The player of Ivorian origin remains under contract with Udinese until June 2027.
According to Transfermarkt, Solet, who was born in Melun, has an estimated market value of about 20 million euros.
