AC Milan are monitoring Standard Liege defender Ange-Gabriel Kokora as they continue to assess emerging young talent in Europe.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club’s interest follows a scouting assignment in Spain on 12 September, when Kokora was among the players watched by the Rossoneri.

The 19-year-old stands 1.90m tall and can operate either at centre-back or in a more advanced defensive midfield role. He developed initially at Mechelen before moving to Gent, then joined Standard Liege in 2019.

Kokora is currently continuing his development with SL16 FC, Standard Liege’s reserve side, which competes in the Belgian third division.

His performances and versatility have reportedly attracted the attention of Milan, who could consider placing him with Milan Futuro to help him progress. Any move could potentially involve a training compensation fee, with Kokora’s contract at Standard Liege running until June 2027.

Milan are not the only club understood to be following the defender. Marseille and Real Betis are also said to be monitoring his development, increasing the competition for his signature and potentially influencing discussions over his future.

The report comes as AC Milan prepare to face Sassuolo in their sixth Serie A match of the season.
