Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns to meet in MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium

The MTN8 final between defending champions Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Premier Soccer League confirmed the venue on Extra Time, with Pirates named as the home side for the match.

Pirates are aiming to win the MTN8 for a fifth consecutive time. Sundowns, meanwhile, will appear in the final for the first time since 2021, when they claimed the trophy after beating Cape Town City on penalties.

The fixture will renew a cup rivalry between the two clubs. Their most recent meeting in a cup final came in 2024, when Pirates defeated Sundowns 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup final.

The final is scheduled for 10 October 2026, with kick-off at 18h00.
