Kobbie Mainoo wins Manchester United Player of the Month for September

Kobbie Mainoo has been voted Manchester United’s Player of the Month for September after winning overwhelming support from the club’s fans.

The midfielder collected 82 percent of the vote, finishing comfortably ahead of Matheus Cunha, who received 13 percent, and Youri Tielemans, who earned five percent.

Mainoo started four matches during the month and consistently influenced United’s performances. His display against Everton attracted particular praise, while he also created Bryan Mbeumo’s opening goal at Goodison Park. The midfielder received a warm ovation from travelling supporters when he was substituted against Fulham.

The award marks Mainoo’s first monthly prize since May 2024, when his outstanding performance in the FA Cup final against Manchester City earned him recognition. He scored United’s winning goal in the 2-1 Wembley victory and was named man of the match.

Mainoo previously won the award in January 2024 after scoring his first senior goal against Newport County. He also finished second in May and third in April following an impressive end to last season under Michael Carrick.

His September triumph confirms the midfielder’s growing importance to United and reflects the strong connection he has built with supporters.
