Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, the head coach of Zamalek, has decided to relocate the team’s collective training sessions in the near future.
Gomezhas granted the team a break from training tomorrow, Friday, following a friendly match against the club’s youth team held at the club’s headquarters.
Zamalek is preparing to face Ismaily on February 19th in the 13th round of the Premier League.
The Zamalek players’ frustration over the condition of the field at the Hame Zemora Stadium led to defender Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wensh” suffering a partial tear in his cruciate ligament.
Additionally, Ahmed Hamdi sustained a muscular injury and will undergo further medical examinations in the coming hours.
Earlier statements by Zamalek’s administrative manager, Amr Abu El-Ezz, emphasized the urgent need for maintenance and ventilation of the club’s pitch.
He added, “We have contacted a maintenance company to begin work, and discussions are underway regarding the fate of the team’s training sessions during the renovations.”
A group of players expressed their anger over the poor condition of the Hame Zemora Stadium pitch and filed a complaint with the club’s management.
According to sources within Zamalek, the players have addressed the issue with Gomez, emphasizing the necessity of relocating the training sessions to prevent injuries.
