Rui Vitoria, the former head coach of the Egyptian national team, has departed Cairo en route to Portugal following the decision of the Football Association to express gratitude to him after Egypt’s early exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Accompanying Vitoria and his coaching staff at Cairo Airport was Sherif Abdelaziz, the Football Association’s public relations officer, who made sure to be present with the Portuguese coach until he boarded the plane back to his homeland.
Ahmed Shobier, speaking on the Kan 2023 program, stated, “Vitoria has spoken with his lawyer, and there is an agreement on the Football Association’s offer to terminate the contract.
The upcoming period will witness correspondences and consultations to finalize the matter.”
Shobier confirmed that the negotiation session concluded with a promise from Vitoria to respond to the Football Association’s offer after presenting it to his lawyer, and Vitoria is heading back to Portugal.
The media personality Ahmed Shobier sent a message to all those who criticized the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, captain of the Pharaohs and Liverpool FC, following the crisis of his injury in the Africa Cup of Nations while representing the national team and traveling to England for treatment.
Shobier stated on the “Can 2023” program, “Mohamed Salah is an extraordinary star, and those who criticize him deserve respect. These are all opinions.
It is known to me that Mohamed Salah will be absent from the upcoming match with Liverpool, and everyone who attacked him owes him an apology.”
He added, “Salah carries the national team on his shoulders with the help of God, and I hope we have more players like Mohamed Salah.”
Vitoria’s departure marks the end of his tenure with the Egyptian national team, leaving behind a mixed legacy amidst hopes for future success under new leadership.
