Yahya Atiyya, the Moroccan international who recently transferred to the Russian football team Sochi, expressed his happiness with this move, while also noting that his time at Wydad Casablanca has been marked by several football successes.
Speaking exclusively to “Hesport,” Atiyya stated, “Wydad is a big team with its global fan base.
I have lived beautiful years with the ‘Red Team’ that will remain etched in my mind forever.”
He continued, “I hope I have given my all to Wydad Athletic Club, and now I begin a new professional experience in the Russian league.
I have high hopes to continue shining and earn my place with the team.”
Atiyya emphasized, “The Russian league will be significantly different, so I must focus on this experience to honor Moroccan players in Russia and maintain my position in the national team.
I aspire to achieve great success with them.”
Today, Yahya Atiyya joined the training sessions of his new team, currently occupying the last position in the Russian league.
Sochi sits at 16th place out of 16 teams with 11 points collected from 18 matches, trailing the “safe zones” in the standings by 8 points.
Atiyya’s move to Sochi marks a new chapter in his career, as he aims to make his mark in Russian football while cherishing the memories and successes achieved during his tenure with Wydad Casablanca.
